Empowered Women is built from the accounts of women who have led, hired, mentored and started over. They talk about the decisions, not only the outcomes.
Around those stories, I set out how mentorship and sponsorship actually work, why the two are not the same thing, and how to ask for either without feeling you are asking for a favour.

Why this book
Written from three decades of doing it
Senior Vice President, Business Development for Western Canada at IG Wealth Management, and Chair of IG Women, Wealth & Wellbeing. I have spent more than thirty years in leadership, and most of that time helping women build confidence, financial security and influence.
Empowered Women comes out of that work. The women in it are ones I have worked alongside and learned from. The guidance is what I have watched hold up in practice, not what sounds good on a slide.
